Echosong basics name • Echo > Echopaw > Echosong age • 28 moons gender • Female sexuality • Pansexual clan • Windclan rank • Warrior appearance allegiance • A long-haired, grey marbled tabby with warm amber eyes full • Echosong is a fairly fluffy grey cat with black marbling all along her body. She's lean with toned muscles and without her fur, would, otherwise, be fairly aerodynamic. personality positives (at least three) + Caring - Echosong is what one would call "Mother-like". With an affinity for kits and those from her own clan, Echosong often takes over the role of mother, or caregiver to those in need or those she has a close bond to. This alone means she would never betray her clan and the relationships she forms, forbidden romances and other forms of betrayal are out of the question. + Fair - Echosong often keeps a level head, not allowing her emotions to take over in times when she needs to be a judge. She believes in equal chances, as she was once a rogue herself and was graciously given a chance in the clan she calls home. + Family Oriented - Family is the most important thing to Echosong. Family is your backbone and what keeps you going through tough times. Her clan is her family and she would love to have kits of her own one day to help the clans numbers grow. She is fiercely protective of her clan and would give her life for any one of her clan mates, even if they disliked each other. negatives (at least three) - Perfectionist - Often times, Echosong can become carried away with perfection. Her nest is always tidy and is never seen disheveled. - Worrywart - If things don't go her way, Echosong tends to let things get into her head. Though, on the outside, she makes sure she is calm and collected, but her mind is running over everything that could go wrong. - Self conscious - Again, as level headed as she looks, Echosong often finds herself second guessing her decisions or even wondering if there were something she could have done differently in situations where the answer seemed clear. etc. (can be fun facts, likes/dislikes, neutral traits, etc) = Loves the sound of rain and thunder = Hates getting her coat wet though = Rabbit is her favorite meal relationships Mother • Basil, Female, Deceased Father • Brutus, Male, Deceased Siser • Comfrey, Female, Deceased Mentor • Hawkwatcher, Male, Deceased Apprentice • Scorpionblaze, Male, Deceased history Dawn had just broken over the horizon when Brutus had laid eyes on Basil, the handsome tom lazing upon the top of his two-leg’s privacy fence, watching the ripples under Basil’s silver fur shine in the sunlight as she stalked what was probably her next meal. The female paid no mind to him as she inched closer, finally leaping towards her prize, claws splayed, ready to sink them into the little mouse which scurried beneath the the canopy of bushes. Brutus had gotten up, jumped down onto the ground as well as some leaves which rustled and made the mouse dart for cover. Frustration and irritation at the tom’s lack of care made her slash out at him, barely missing Brutus’s face. The male did not move, only smirked, which stirred an anger in her that almost made her lash out again. “You stupid Kittypet, have you no idea how long I stalked that mouse?! That could have been a meal!” “A measly one.” Was all Brutus responded with, a snide smirk playing on his maw. She was skinny, unkempt, surely living like that wasn’t fun. He never understood those that didn’t live the kittypet life. Fire raged within Basil’s eyes, but she only flared her nostrils, turned, and bounded back into the brush to search for another possible meal. Days went on, the interaction replaying over and over in Basil’s mind, finally causing her to travel back to the place she met that annoying, handsome, snide, rude tom. She would give him a piece of her mind. Soon, without realizing it, Basil began making up reasons to go see Brutus. Her words grew sweeter, her actions moving her closer to the tom. Not even 3 moons after their first encounter, the handsome smokey gray tom and the pretty long haired Marbled Tabby became mates. And not long after that, Basil bore his kits in a massively inconvenient rotund belly. Being a queen was not Basil’s proudest moment, but having her kits was definitely the best day of her life. Two little kits, beautiful with the same markings as Basil. Their fur curled and blew with the wind. Basil knew she’d have to find somewhere else to keep than other than the forest near Brutus’s twoleg nest. Not far from where they were was a horseplace, Basil asked her mate to leave with her, she would train him to catch his food as he had often made comments that fresh mice she brought him was a thousand times better than the pellets his two legs fed him. After a small time thinking about it, he reluctantly agreed, knowing it would be difficult for Basil to not only care for herself but also her newborn kits and also knowing that there would be absolutely no way he could convince her to stay with him in the twoleg nests. The two cats made their home in in the comfy barn, in the loft above where a farmer kept his horses, raising their kits with all the love in the world and all the mice they needed to keep their bellies full. Echo and Comfrey thrived in that barn, growing what seemed twice the size they were a few moons before, learning to hunt for themselves as well. However, one day, Brutus had went out to hunt, but he never came back. Their mother mourned her mate’s loss, unknown to her he had been murdered by loose dogs, she refused to eat but kept her kits alive. Not long after, Comfrey had been overcome by a sickness, unable to keep her prey down, and had violent fits. The mice she had caught had been poisoned. When the farmer’s grain had been compromised, he had put down several poison traps, therefore, trickling the sickness down to Echo’s mother and her sister. After they stayed with Comfrey for her final days, and gave her a “funeral”, they feld the Horse place, her mother’s strength waning, but she kept pushing forward for Echo’s sake. As they settled down to make camp for the night, Echo drifted straight to sleep and woke up before dawn the next day. But her mother had not. She had grown cold through the night, her breaths deep, almost gasping, but as Echo screamed for losing her whole family within a week, she forced herself to give her mother the best “funeral” she could before pushing herself to Windclan’s borders. The marbled tabby begged the Thunderclan leader, Stonestar to allow her in his clan, admitting she had never needed to fight for herself before but she would be willing to learn and bring her all to his clan. Finally, the leader agreed, allowing the young cat to become an apprentice, with the name Echopaw. She trained under her mentor, Hawkwatcher, who became somewhat of a father-figure to the she cat. The handsome, brown marbled tabby tom, worked with her insecurities and doubts, pushing her to become the best warrior she could be, he became her confidant, and her rock that kept her grounded. Echosong was the name she was given, and she fell in love with it, named for her gentle nature, she felt it truly was the epitome of her character. Now, at 36 moons, she still does all she can to help out her clan and often visits the nursery and elders when she has free time, still close with Hawkwatcher. |
